  1. I went to the Christchurch gig and remember Simple Minds playing.

  2. Frampton had a cracking band, Joe Vitale on drums and perc. great guitar from Frampton, crowd loved it. He was touring I'm in you, his worst album. Loved hearing White Sugar from Camel. No Kinks and Daryl Braithwaite was in fine voice. The Dudes and Citizen Band were dull big stagers. Humble Pie Rockin' the Fillmore is a must. Frampton and Marriott deliver in spades.

  3. ...oh yeah the best pub bands in Auckland late 70's were Johnny and the Hookers and the Fureys, always up front charismatic and in your face. Every other act was unremarkable. You could see Rory Gallagher come to town then go to the Gluepot or Windsor Castle and be confronted with our own conservatism.
