This blog's purpose is to archive scheduled concert dates in New Zealand - international and local artists, covering late 70s - late 90s. It will by no means be 100% complete, and it will most likely be a "work in progress" for a very long time ;-)
What a gig that was on Saturday September 24th 1983 at the Dunedin Town Hall. Barnes ended up as per usual climbing a speaker tower and slugging on vodka while screaming out his vocals - think someone from the audience may have thrown something at him and there may even have been some kind of scuffle or did Barnes throw the voddy bottle at them who knows? You wouldn't have believed the band (Cold Chisel) was having an internal bust up off stage (after the Tour they broke up) as they played so great. Have never forgotten this awesome gig from one of Australia's greatest ever rock bands and such a privilege to see them play in that era.
