This blog's purpose is to archive scheduled concert dates in New Zealand - international and local artists, covering late 70s - late 90s. It will by no means be 100% complete, and it will most likely be a "work in progress" for a very long time ;-)
Best Live show I've ever seen... all guitars up front ... stage lights on heavy glow... lost some high Hz that night! :)
ReplyDeleteAmazing show at Vic uni , the power went out at one point then some girl tied to write her phone number on my face. I think my mate "Choc" was mixing.
ReplyDeleteDrove down from Timaru to the Dunedin show at Sammy's. It was an old converted movie theatre, yes? It had an upstairs, and a downstairs which was just a wide open floor. I think it held 700 which is quite a lot and it was packed that night in 1986.
ReplyDeleteLoud? Fuck me. It's the loudest thing I've ever heard indoors. Actually, the loudest band I've ever heard. The Stones at Western Springs had 1.5 million watts but it was clean in a big venue, but HG were just loud, but not nasty loud. Those chiming guitars were supreme.
My ears rang for a few days and Dave Faulkner is a legend.
