Easily one of greatest gigs ever from Jimmy Barnes at the Dunedin Town Hall on Friday July 11th '86. I thought Barnes and his backing band (Dave Amato – guitar, Chris Bailey – bass, Tony Brock – drums, and Peter Kekell – keyboards) were sublime on this Barnestorming Tour of '86. Can't remember the set list. The sound from this gig was so much more meatier than Cold Chisel at the same venue were in '83.
ReplyDeleteBarnes was chugging whisky at the Logan Campbell centre concert . My wife was in front row with her girlfriends, they came home smelling of whisky..
ReplyDeleteI think you will find the Wellington concert was at the town hall and not the show buildings as I was at that concert.
