This blog's purpose is to archive scheduled concert dates in New Zealand - international and local artists, covering late 70s - late 90s. It will by no means be 100% complete, and it will most likely be a "work in progress" for a very long time ;-)
the Auckland show ended up actually happening at a half-empty Powerstation. Great show though!
ReplyDeleteNot true....the Auckland show happened at the North Shore Events Centre cause I was there and I met the band. Darius is a real nice guy.
ReplyDeletehmmm. I wonder if we're talking about two different tours then and they have been here twice. My wife and I had dinner with them (and the crew from Warner Music) at the hotel they were staying at. I have a photo somewhere I must dig out. We talked about out mutual love of KISS over dinner and they played Calling Dr Love that night (as well as other covers like Wipeout). That show was definitely at The Powerstation. I spoke to someone just now who was working there at the time and they recall it too, as does my wife. They're going to look through the files to find the exact date. Maybe they came back the following year and I'm getting the tours confused.
DeleteChristchurch show was staggering. Best sound I've heard indoors. Great musicianship, excellent PA combined with the magnificent town hall auditorium acoustics and they killed. Loud but not too loud.
